Our trip to Lotus Land Koi Farm
 .
Our last adventure took us to
Lotus Land Koi Farm in Monroe N.C. We rented
a bus because there were about 30 of us
that had planned to go on the trip. Thanks to
Great American Tours (the Bus Company) we
all had a good time on the way up and didn’t
have to worry about how to get there and
more to the point how to get back.
Just as always Brady
was a wonderful host and had lots of Koi for
us to look at. Several of us came home with
new pets to go in our pond. Brady also gave
us a nice Kohaku to raffle off on the way
home. The thing we need to remember next
time is the farm is out in the country, we
got a little bit hungry on the way home.

The Charleston Showa Koi Club has a full timetable of events throughout the year. These include our meetings which
are normally held on the Second Sunday of each month at a
member's home. These meetings give you the opportunity to meet
with fellow Koi Keepers and view their ponds and gardens. At the meetings we often have speakers and demonstrations
of important Koi practices like using microscopes, treating our fish and how to build useful pieces of equipment.

A number of our members have been trained by the Associated Koi Club as Koi Health Advisors. These members are
very willing and able to help other members with health problems. If you need their help contact the Charleston Showa
Koi Club by email at
