Next Meeting
June
2008
In
lieu of our normally scheduled meeting, we will enjoy
our 5th Annual Pond Tour. Members are encouraged
to assist the pond tour committee as much as possible to
make this a great day.
May 2008
Our May Meeting will be on Sunday, May 4th. The
agenda will include the upcoming Pond Tour as well as
the Grow-Out Contest. Fish will be distributed to
members who are participating in the grow-out. We
will also be conducting water testing for any new
members.
April 2008
Our April Meeting will be on
Saturday
the 12th.
Grant Fujita will be traveling from California to
spend the day with our club. Grant will be talking
about Japan and the Koi Breeders there the first
part of the day. We will brake for lunch then Grant
will give us a talk on Judging. Grant is the Author
of Koi by Grant Fujita.
He has also made many, many other contributions to
the koi world in his life. We feel very lucky to
have a person of Grants caliber come to speak
to our club.
March 2008
Our March meeting will be at the home of Ti Hanley.
The topics will be; Koi of the Year, Koi Person of
the year. Ti also has had his pond re done so we
look forward to seeing it.
February 2008
Our February meeting will be at Chuck and Beth's.
The main topic will be our pond tour. We also will
be talking about the up coming visit of Grant Fujita
in April
January 2008
Our January meeting will feature Matt McCann a Koi
breeder from Nisei Koi Farms. Matt is a very well
receipted breeder and should have a lot of great
things to talk about. Jim and Mary Leard have agreed
to host the meeting.
November Meeting 2007
There will be NO meeting in November!!!!!
Most of the club officers will be at the Charlotte
Show as well as the Mud Pull at Ray Ables the
following week so we will have the month off.
October Meeting 2007
We will be meeting at the home of Mark Carr and
Chris Deer.
September Meeting 2007
We will be meeting at the home of Steve and Debra
Matthes. Debra is planning a make it your self ice
cream sundae, should be fun? I had planed to
continue with the talk on Koi Verity. I had hoped to
get into the subject a little deeper than the last
meeting. Try to remember what we talked about last
month, there will be a quiz!
August
Meeting 2007
We will be meeting at the home of Margaret Seres.
Her Pond is a formal 11,000 Gallon concrete pond
with a formal water garden on the side.
July
Meeting 2007
We will be meeting at the home of Dom and Doris Zito
on James Island. This will give us all a chance to
see the changes Dom has made to his pond over the
last year.
June Meeting 2007
This meeting will be at the home of Robert
and Linda Lewis. This will be the day after the Pond
Tour and will give us a chance to talk about how the
pond tour went.
May Meeting 2007
The meeting will be at
the home of Van and Wynema Atkins. Van has three
ponds in the yard to look at.

March
February Meeting 2007
The February meeting will be a
short one at Lotus Land Koi Farm. We all will be
meeting at the Wal Mart in S'ville at 7:30 AM and
leaving at 8:00 on Feb. 11th. This will be a great
time Brady is a wonderful host. Check out the Link
on our Links page.
January Meeting 2007
The January meeting had to be
moved to Chuck and Beth Lisenby's due to Ti's
illness. Ti will be back with us soon and we
will get a look at that new pond.
At this meeting we will again be talking about
the bugs that bug our fish. We will also discuss
different methods of treatment, what works, what
doesn't, what is cheep and what isn't. This should
make for a good meeting.
December Meeting 2006
This is our
Christmas meeting we will be meeting at Bee City on
HWY 61, Cottageville. We will have the Atwells from
the Atlanta Koi club coming to give us a talk on Koi
Variety. We also have a lot of club business to take
care of. We will be meeting on Dec. 3rd.
November Meeting 2006
This month the meeting is
at the home of Steve and Debra Mathes. The meeting
will be on the 19th.
October Meeting 2006
This month the meeting
will be at Chris and Marks.
This meeting we have a lot to take
care of and it will be the start of our grow out
contest. We will have 20 koi from the same spawn
that we will be trying to see who dose the best job
of growing out.
September Meeting 2006
The meeting will be at the home of Grant and Penny
Patton
This is going to be a great
meeting Grant and Penny are planning a slide show
and talk about their trips to Japan
August Meeting 2006
The meeting will be at
the home of John and Margaret Seres
This will be a very good meeting. John and
Margaret have a 11,000 Gal Koi Pond and a nice Water
Garden on their back patio. I don't think that at
this point we have a topic but we will have
something soon. One of the things we will be talking
about is were to have our meetings.
July Meeting 2007
The meeting will be at the home of Karen and James
Collins. The topic will be Water Quality. In the
last several weeks the KHAs in the club have had
several calls about sick fish and water quality has
been the problem. This being the case this is a good
time to go over what we are looking for and why.

June Meeting 2006
The June meeting will be at the
home of Robert and Linda Lewis on the 11th of June.
This will be the day after the Pond Tour. This will
give us a chance to talk about the tour while it is
still fresh in our minds as well as get all the pond
tour stuff together.

Our May meeting will be on Sunday May 7 and it will be the annual trip north to Sumter to visit Sue and Ralph Owens.
This meeting will be a bit special as we have invited our near
neighbors from the Midland Koi and Water garden Society to join
us.
