The 2009 Charlotte Koi
Show
was a huge boon for our
club. Twenty of our members attended the
weekend show in November. Members Grant and
Penny Patton were on the judging panel.
Robert Lewis and Johnna Hansen attended as vendors
for the first time representing their newest
venture, The Carolina Koi Farm. Ralph and
Sue Owens displayed 5 of their best koi, winning
Best Doitsu for a Size 5 Kohaku as well as several
1st and 2nd place ribbons. Jim and Mary Leard won
Most Unique for a Size 3 Kumonryu.
